What is the essence of Minecraft? By hitting something (almost anything) with your cube hand or any instrument several times, you break the object into pieces. Collect the debris and get building materials. You can later build a cube from them. Collect more materials, place new cubes around and on the first one, and even if you have very little imagination, you will succeed. It could be a giant tower leading nowhere. It can be a complex Gothic castle with spires piercing the sky. It can be a mine cart on rails. It can be anything, and this is Minecraft.

With a few easy recipes, you can craft tools, weapons, fire, stairs, doors, portals, in short, everything. An infinitely rebuildable world, plus the talent of the developers, gives us a unique chance to try and fulfill all of our virtual fantasies. Here you can change the landscape at your discretion: drain swamps and rivers, grow plants, tame animals. Many players like to build homes and there are tons of options for that. But, like everything in Minecraft, your house and furniture and you will be square.

There are only two buttons – something akin to Lego. There is a multiplayer option, where the patience and seething imagination of a group of creators erect the most amazing landscapes that you can possibly see in this, and almost any other game. Just look at this: fantastic cities in the sky, giant mines running underground, intricate waterways, advanced farms… And there is a survival element challenging you to escape from monsters, skeletons, zombies and drowned people who attack when darkness fall. The day / night mode changes independently, but you can change it yourself. And at night it is better to stay at home, well, or stock up on diamond armor.

Of course, most of us will not get busy with grand-scale construction, because it’s too much of work. Most players will just dig a hole, attach a few lamps to the walls and feel right at home. And that’s the whole point of Minecraft. It doesn’t matter how clumsy and fragile your buildings are, they are yours. You were the one to dig that hole in the ground, it was you who couldn’t put a few blocks together to make stairs, so it’s hanging in the air. And that hole in the roof – you made it yourself fighting off a zombie attack. And that’s only the beginning of what you can do here! Enjoy this freedom of creativity playing the latest version of Minecraft online!
