Minecraft 1.16

Have you already tried Minecraft 1.16? This new version adds new biomes, mobs and items that will breathe in some fresh life into our favorite sandbox. The first one is the spectacular Crimson Forest. Instead of trees, it is covered with huge mushrooms that give out dim light. There is also Soul Sand Valley. This open space is made basically from soul sand and soul soil. Ash is hovering in the air and basalt columns rise to the ceiling. The valley basks in mystical blue glimmer. Beware of skeletons roaming here!

As to the mobs, instead of Zombie Pigmen, there are now Piglins and Zombified Piglins. They are representatives of an aggressive civilization living in the Nether. They will attack you at first sight, so be particularly careful when exploring Crimson Forest where they love hanging out most. They also prefer hunting and fighting as a team, so if there is a battle, all the Piglins from nearby will flow in to participate. Luckily, they are afraid of distorted fire and are really fascinated with gold.

You also need to keep your eyes out for Hoglins that are big dangerous beasts from Crimson Forest who will gladly attack you if they have a chance. If you are lucky to kill one, you will get a little pork and skin. They also hate the smell of distorted mushrooms, and it’s a great way to keep them at a distance. Finally, there is also a new high-level material called Netherite that can be used to improve diamond equipment.
